How can you
help the library?
“Perhaps
no place in any community is so totally democratic as the town library. The only entrance requirement is interest.” -Lady Bird Johnson

Your library needs you — your time and financial support are more important than ever before if we are to maintain West Linn Public Library as a thriving place where our community's needs for education and entertainment are served.

Volunteer
Volunteers are vital to the library's success. Many of the hundreds of items we check in and shelve each day are handled by volunteers. We're looking for people age 14 and over who can make a regular commitment to shelve library materials, keep shelves organized, and participate in occasional special projects. You may click on the link below to access an application to become a library volunteer. For further information, please call Beth Meinerth at the library at (503) 656-7853, extension 3020.

Join the Friends of the West Linn Library
We love our Friends! The fund-raising activities of the Friends include annual used book sales and operation of The Book Cellar, and provide support for special library programs including Music In The Stacks and summer reading clubs for all ages, and additional funding for books, movies and music CDs. The Friends also decorate the library for the winter holidays and provide assistance with various other special projects. Membership is $5 per year. If you'd like more information about becoming one of our Friends, please call the library at (503) 656-7853.

Shop the Book Cellar
The Book Cellar, operated by the Friends of the West Linn Public Library, offers used books and audio-visual materials for sale. All proceeds are used directly for library programs and materials.

Put yourself in our mosaic with a major gift to the library. Your name will be added to the beautiful donation board just inside our main entry doors with a donation of $1,000 or more. Donations are cumulative and may be given over time and in many ways. When your cumulative gifts total $1,000 your name, or the name of someone you wish to honor, will be added to the board. Donations are tax-deductible as provided by law. Gifts can be made through cash contributions, bequests, trusts or transfers of stock or other property.
